15 Concessions Contracts Approved For AUS

The Austin City Council has approved 15 concessions contracts for locations to serve the nine new gates coming to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in an expansion to be completed in 2019.

Paradies Lagardère was awarded contracts for four retail operations and one food and beverage location. Paradies Lagardère’s retailers will include the athletic retailer Scoreboard, accessory and gift store Brighton Collectibles, a CNBC-branded newsstand, and the Austin souvenir and news store Barton Springs. Paradies Lagardère will also operate a location of the local pizzeria Salvation Pizza.

Delaware North won contracts for five locations: Austin local specialty coffee shop Café Medici, toy store Toy Joy, candy shop Yummy Joy, Austin souvenir store Austin Chronicle, and men’s apparel store Hammer Made.

Other food and beverage contracts were awarded to Vino Volo winebar and restaurant and local coffee shop Fara Café. Additional retail contracts include ABIA Duty Free, operated by EJE CVG, LLC., tech and travel gear store InMotion, and James Avery artisan jewelry store, operated by Prevost.

Austin City Council is set to vote on other contracts on December 14. These contracts will consist of an XpresSpa location and a deal with HMSHost to operate Austin City Kitchen, a food hall that will include Torchy’s Tacos, Noble Sandwich Co., Hardie’s Fresh Foods, Sushi A-Go-Go, Jugo, and Austin Beerworks, as well as three individual locations: 24 Diner, Parkside, Starbucks.
