2 Le Duff America Concepts Land Space In Airports

La Madeleine Country French Cafe and Brioche Doree each have landed a new airport location.

La Madeleine’s new space in Terminal A at Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) is its first there and fifth overall since parent company Le Duff America created its plan three years ago for expanding in non-traditional locations.

Under a partnership with HMSHost Corp., La Madeleine will open a second location at DFW by the end of 2014. The cafe’s new design and decor combines comfort with the French country atmosphere for which company officials say it’s known. Its menu includes soups, salads, fresh-baked breads, pastries, desserts and beverages.

“La Madeleine continues to explore expansion opportunities to share our French-inspired bakery cafe experience with new guests near and far,” says Paul Carolan, chief development officer for Le Duff.

A second Le Duff concept, Brioche Doree, has inked a deal to enter the Delta terminal at Syracuse Hancock International (SYR). The Parisian-style urban bakery cafe will open in December.

Brioche has more than 30 North American bakeries. It offers a range of European cafe options, from espresso-based coffees and croissant breakfast sandwiches to quiches, pizzas and French-inspired desserts.

“Brioche Doree is not your ordinary fast-food airport fare,” says Saniya Isani, owner of Local Food Group, the company that will own the store at SYR. “It’s a fresher, healthier option than many of the meals people on the go are accustomed to choosing from when at the airport. Everything is made fresh daily in the cafe.”
