HMSHost has opened the Christian Moerlein Malt House Taproom at Gate A15 in Concourse A at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The more than 1,600 square-foot full-service restaurant and bar celebrates the heritage of the original Christian Moerlein Brewing Company, which opened in 1853 in Cincinnati.
A collaborative travel-inspired brew, JET CVG, was tapped and is now being served at the airport and two other street locations. In addition to the exclusive JET CVG, travelers can tap further into Cincinnati’s brewing history with a wide selection of Christian Moerlein’s signature craft beers in a setting reminiscent of Cincinnati’s celebrated 19th century beer gardens. To accompany the brews, travelers can enjoy all-day dining with popular food items reminiscent of Over-the-Rhine, where the brewery taproom is located. Menu items include meat and cheese boards, salads, burgers, and “beertastic” entrée options.
“We’re excited to incorporate local flavor into CVG, and to be one of the first airports to collaborate with a local brewery to produce a travel-inspired beer,” said Candace McGraw, CEO, CVG. “Both the food and drink pay homage to our community for locals and visitors to enjoy.
