Best Buy Co. Inc. will add a dozen vending kiosks inside several major airports as part of a pilot program called “Best Buy Express.”
The retailer will partner with ZoomSystems to launch the program. The kiosks will offer a variety of products and accessories at store prices that the company expects will appeal to both business and leisure travelers.
“Best Buy’s interest is to find ways to relevantly engage with its customers,” says Jeff Dudash, spokesman. “We have a highly visible brand that hundreds of millions of people buy from each year, but we believe they have a need for some of our products in remote locations, such as airports, where we do not serve them now.”
Kiosks will be available by Sept. 1 at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL), Boston Logan International (BOS), Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW), George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), McCarran International (LAS), Los Angeles International (LAX), Minneapolis-St. Paul International (MSP) and San Francisco International (SFO)
