Bettye Dixon, president and CEO of Concourse Concessions Inc. and industry pioneer was inducted into the National Association of Women Business Owners-Los Angeles’ Hall of Fame.
The award was part of the 23rd annual NAWBO-LA Leadership & Legacy Awards Luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on March 13, honoring national and global women who have made great strides in entrepreneurial excellence.
“It is indeed an honor to be recognized from such an organization like NAWBO-LA because it implies that my efforts are noteworthy and the manner in which I have achieved my goals has been viewed as exemplary,” Dixon says. “I would like to see more women business owners join and support organizations like NAWBO-LA where their voices can be heard, their experiences valued and their achievements appreciated.”
She was chosen, the organization says, because after Sept.11’s economic crisis, she refused to let any of her employees go and recovered from the downturn to exceed annual gross sales of $30M.
