IND Launches New Web Site

Visitors to the Indianapolis Airport Authority’s Web site on Wednesday found improvements including interactive maps, image galleries, searchable calendar and archive, improved navigation and more reliable flight information.

On the new fully interactive, color-coded maps, users can find detailed terminal and concourse information about airlines and flights; food and beverage; public art; shopping, news and gifts; and parking, among other things. When users click on the maps, a pop-up window emerges with photos and more information about the area.

Another new feature is a document management tool, which shows board papers, RFPs, image galleries and news releases, with various methods of search.

In addition, an image gallery searchable by year contains photos of the terminal, artwork and airport opening activities. They are displayed as thumbnail images, which are enlarged when clicked upon.

All of these functions are separate from the page listing of the status of arriving and departing flights, which is shown in a separate pop-up window.
