Areas USA will manage and operate three food and beverage concessions at Boston Logan International (BOS), according to an agreement signed by Areas and BAA Boston.
Earl of Sandwich, Illy and Vinea are slated to open in early 2010; the 10-year contract is expected to generate sales of $45M.
“Our experience in managing and operating numerous airport locations worldwide makes us a great selection for Logan airport,” says Xavier Rabell, CEO of Areas USA. “Our unique concepts have been satisfying even some of the most selective travelers with distinctive products and exceptional customer service for over 40 years.”
Vinea and Illy will be located in Terminal B. Vinea features domestic and international wines, as well as gourmet tapas; Illy’s menu offers coffee, pastries and paninis.
Passengers who want hot sandwiches can find them at Earl of Sandwich in Terminal E. The eatery also offers soups, salads, desserts, smoothies and other items.
“Areas USA is proud to introduce some of our most successful international brands and our exclusive national sandwich concept to the Boston airport traveler,” Rabell says. “We believe these establishments are a perfect fit any traveler, whether on the run or with plenty of time to relax and enjoy a meal”.
