The first-ever airport BlackBerry store from Wireless Giant has made
its debut at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL).
“We are proud to be the first airport in the world to offer a
BlackBerry store,” says Ben DeCosta, ATL’s aviation general manager.
“The BlackBerry store from Wireless Giant will serve the many customers
who pass through Hartsfield-Jackson with unexpected or last-minute
technology needs while traveling.”
The new store, through a partnership between Airport Retail Management
and Wireless Giant, will offer BlackBerry smartphones from Sprint,
T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless, and will activate them with BlackBerry
Internet service and BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
“We are proud to work with Research in Motion, Wireless Giant and the
city of Atlanta’s Department of Aviation,” says Robert Crews, president
of ARM. “At this store, trained specialists will be available to answer
their questions.”
RIM is the company that launched BlackBerry in 1999; in December, users totaled about 21 million.
“Wireless Giant is pleased to partner with Airport Retail Management to
open an authorized multi-carrier retail store for BlackBerry products
and services at the world’s busiest airport,” says Isaac Hanna, CEO of
Wireless Giant.
