San Francisco International (SFO) has chosen Unique Retreat a contract for 14 sleeping units post-security in boarding area A of the international terminal.
The facility will feature single beds, HDTVs, WiFi Internet, personal air-conditioning controls, a chair and desk, soundproofing, privacy and security.
“We want to commend SFO and the city of San Francisco for their long history of running a forward-thinking airport. We honestly could not think of a better partner with which to launch Unique Retreat,” says Greg Lovett, CEO of Unique Retreat LLC. “With travelers spending more time than ever at the airport, there is an obvious need to provide value to them with a solution that makes the time spent in an airport much more comfortable.”
The California-based company will be the first in the country to provide this type of facility in an airport for an hourly fee.
Jane Sullivan, manager of marketing and communications for SFO, says Unique Retreat aims to deliver “our vision of making the airport a more comfortable place to dwell.”
