Parking facilities at Philadelphia International (PHL) are now accepting MasterCard® PayPass(TM) contactless payments.
The technology, provided by Affiliated Computer Services Inc., allows travelers to tap their PayPass-enabled MasterCard or PayPass device on a PayPass reader.
“Accepting MasterCard PayPass at our airport parking facilities makes traveling easier by offering our passengers a fast and convenient payment option to quickly get to their final destinations,” says Vincent J. Fenerty Jr., executive director of the Philadelphia Parking Authority. “Making this upgrade to our airport parking facilities fits well with our commitment to provide the highest levels of customer service and enhance the overall airport experience.”
The PayPass will be installed in 34 vehicular exit lanes that serve the airport’s roughly 18,600 parking spaces. Traditional magnetic-stripe payment cards will still be accepted.
“By accepting MasterCard PayPass, Philadelphia International Airport can make parking payments more efficient and streamlined, and reduce travelers’ time spent waiting in line to pay,” says Cathleen Conforti, senior vice president of Global PayPass, MasterCard Worldwide. “We are pleased to partner with ACS to implement innovative technology solutions that improve the airport experience for busy travelers.”
Dave Amoriell, executive vice president and president of ACS Transportation Solutions Group says it can take a lot of time to leave an airport parking lot, and this will simplify travelers’ lives by making this process faster and more user-friendly.”
“As the nationwide leader in airport parking we value our partnership with MasterCard to bring PayPass to Philadelphia International Airport, and we look forward to continuing to make parking more efficient for air travelers.”
