Airports Council International-North America has named jetBlue Airways’ Terminal 5 the recipient of the Richard A. Griesbach Award of Excellence.
The award honors the efforts of the airline’s management and AirProjects Inc. The terminal has 22 restaurants and food-service outlets, and 25 retail stores. AirProjects took care of the commercial planning portion of the 635,000 sq. ft. terminal and has helped jetBlue with the leasing and management of the program.
“We are extremely pleased to see how the concession plan that we developed came to fruition for jetBlue’s Terminal 5,” says AirProjects’ founder, Ann Ferraguto. “It is truly a distinctive and exciting airport shopping and dining experience, with its own energy and pulse. AirProjects Inc. was privileged to work with jetBlue Airways on this important terminal in New York.”
The terminal opened Oct. 22, 2008.
