7 Stores Arrive At Louisville International

Seven new retail stores, opened by The Paradies Shops, have landed at Louisville International (SDF), three of which represent well-known Louisville brands. Churchill Downs and Louisville Slugger opened their first off-site shops; Heine Brothers added its first carry-out store.

“The addition of these new shops will allow travelers from around the world to
experience some of what makes our Possibility City such a special place,” says Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson.

The merchandise at the stores was previously not available at the airport. The Churchill Downs store sells its local-themed merchandise and Kentucky Derby memorabilia, and the Louisville Slugger Shop allows customers to order personalized, full-sized bats and purchase branded sports apparel and souvenirs. Both stores can be found in the landside rotunda.

At Heine Brothers To Go, located at the lower-level baggage-claim area, shoppers can buy coffee, mugs, periodicals, packaged coffee and snacks. At The New York Times Books & News, which can be found at the upper-level, landside area, travelers can find branded merchandise and books from the newspaper’s best-seller list. Finish Line News, another news and gift outlet, has replaced Bluegrass News in the airside rotunda.

Experience Kentucky, in the airside rotunda, has replaced Explore Kentucky; it offers Kentucky- and Louisville-themed apparel, souvenirs, gifts and luggage.

Finally, there is a second CNBC News store. On Concourse A, CNBC News Express sells books, periodicals, health and beauty items, travel aids, eyewear, luggage, electronics and gifts.

“A special thanks to our partners, whose hard work and great brands make this
one of the most exciting retail programs in the company,” says Gregg Paradies,
president and CEO of The Paradies Shops.

The Paradies Shops is also expanding its customer service program to include a recharge station for cell phones, computers and other portable devices.
