DEN Hosting Mexican Art

Renowned Mexican Artist Alvaro Santiago’s “Me Rento Para Soé±ar (I Rent Myself to Dream)” has landed at Denver International (DEN).

Presented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, the Consulate General of Mexico and Denver, and the Mexican Cultural Center of Denver, the exhibit includes paintings, engravings, sculptures, drawings on paper, ceramics and tri-dimensional pieces by Santiago. It can be seen on the Mezzanine Level Gallery in the A Concourse and runs through Oct. 15.

Santiago, who was born in Oaxaca, Mexico, studied at the Fine Arts School of the Autonomous University Benito Juarez in Oaxaca and the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving, known as “La Esmeralda,” in Mexico City. His creations blend elements of cubism and surrealism, and give viewers insight into his personal world perspectives.
