MSP’s Anderson To Retire

Joe Anderson, manager of concessions and business development for the Metropolitan Airports Commission, has announced his retirement.

In a memo to Eric Johnson, director of the MAC, Anderson says he and his wife, Debbie, “have been looking forward to this day for many years.” He also thanked Johnson for his support and trust.

“We have done a great job in creating a new concession team that is very capable of moving the MSP program to the next level,” he wrote. “It’s now time for me to step aside and allow them to form their new program.”

Although the retirement is effective at the end of October, his last day of work will be Aug. 27 due to vacation time and accrued sick time.

The Andersons will be taking a driving tour of at least six national parks starting in late September, covering more than 4,000 miles. Anderson says they are looking forward to spending time with their friends and family.
