Minute Suites has inked a deal with the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops to provide passengers at Philadelphia International (PHL) a place to rest.
The company offers rentable, individual suites, which offer a daybed sofa, pillows, blankets and a 32-inch high-definition television, which also converts to a computer with access to the Internet and the airport’s flight-tracking system. For those wanting to get some work done, there is a desk, phone and office chair, and laptop users can connect to the Internet via the airport’s Wi-Fi or direct connection port.
Other amenities in the suites include a sound-masking system, the Nap26 audio program, and an alarm clock or wake-up call.
“Unique and personalized services, like Minute Suites, are what we strive to deliver for our passengers at PHL,” says Clarence LeJeune, president of the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops. “Passengers will be able to experience a private, relaxing retreat within the airport, making their traveling experience even more enjoyable.”
There will be 13 suites and two computer work stations at the PHL location, which will be in the A/B Link. For the first hour, the rate is $30, and $7.50 for each additional 15 minutes. The overnight rate is $120, which covers 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. For those looking to stay more than eight hours, discounts are available. Military, flight attendant and pilot specials will also be offered.
Minute Suites is expected to open in spring 2011.
