Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International has chosen Paul Brown as its new director of concessions.
In his new role, he will lead all concessions unit projects, including the new food and beverage program, terminal concessions, advertising and car rental agreements.
Most recently, Brown was a consultant for Minute Suites, helping the company identify potential airport locations; he has also consulted and written proposals successfully for airports in Miami, Fla.; Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; and Sacramento, Calif. In addition, he has also held high-level management positions dealing with concessions at Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA), WHSmith USA Travel and Airport Retail Management.
“We are excited to have Paul Brown lead our concessions team as we begin working to re-invent our food and beverage offerings,” says Arnaldo Ruiz, assistant general manager of commercial development at ATL. “He has a proven track record in the airport concessions industry retail and restaurant industries.”
Brown holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration and economics from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
He succeeds John Cugasi, who left the airport in March.
