Several concepts from Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services have garnered myriad nods from travel magazines and websites in the past few months.
Its Encounter restaurant at Los Angeles International (LAX) was lauded in the March issue of Entrepreneur magazine, placing it on a list of some of the best airport restaurants in the United States in its annual Dining On-The-Fly survey. Also in March, Frommers.com included it in its 10- Best U.S. Airport Restaurant list, and Esquire.com put the space-themed eatery on its list of the 10 Best Airport Restaurants in the World. And in September, Forbes.com mentioned it in its “Where to Find the Best Airport Food” article.
US Airways magazine in March named two Delaware North concepts in its “15 Best Airport Bites” article: Salt Lick Bar-B-Que at Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS) and Pink’s Hot Dogs at LAX.
Food & Wine magazine also joined in the praises in March, featuring five concessions concepts in a FoodandWine.com article called “Ultimate Airport Dining Survival Guide: Best Airport Restaurants: LAX’s Encounter, Pink’s Hot Dogs and La Brea Bakery; Corky’s BBQ at Memphis International (MEM); and The Salt Lick Barb-B-Que at AUS.
“We are extremely proud to have received these accolades,” says Matt King, president of Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services. “We remain committed to providing the best service in the industry.”
