Nuance Group Unveils 1st Arrival Duty Free Shops At 2 Swiss Airports

The Nuance Group has debuted the first-ever Arrival Duty Free shops in Switzerland.

The opening of the stores at Geneva (GVA) and Zurich (ZRH) comes after the recent change in Swiss legislation allowing the country’s international airports and airport retailers to give arriving travelers access to duty free shopping.

“Today marks a historic occasion for The Nuance Group and its airport partners at Geneva and Zurich airports. These openings signify the successful outcome of our combined efforts over the past 12 years to extend duty free shopping to both travellers flying into and residents returning to Switzerland,” says Andrea Belardini, CEO of Europe, The Nuance Group. “In achieving this milestone, we are now able to respond to consumer demand for a more convenient shopping experience by offering a choice of retail opportunities at every step of their journey.”

Both stores offer liquor, tobacco, perfume and cosmetics, and feature a selection of the company’s new key “boutique” concepts, such as whiskey. Later this summer, Nuance will unveil its “collect on return” service at both airports, in which travelers can select products upon departure or by ordering online beforehand, and they will be ready for pickup upon their arrival in Switzerland.
