Burger Bar Gives SAT Travelers New Dining Option

A new dining concept is sizzling in the Terminal B food court at San Antonio International (SAT).

The Alamo Alehouse & Gourmet Burger Bar, which opened July 16 and is operated by the Firkin Group of Pubs, offers completely customizable gourmet burgers with a base of traditional beef, Kobe beef, lamb, salmon, turkey and black bean; diners can choose from several types of buns. There are also a variety of sauces and premium toppings, such as banana peppers, grilled pineapple, mushrooms and onions, as well as a selection of cheeses. Beer and wine are also available, as is a breakfast burger.

“We are excited to have the Alehouse Gourmet Burger Bar at San Antonio International airport,” says Rich Johnson, SAT spokesman. “The gourmet burger concept is so hot right now, and the Alehouse concept, along with Firkin Pubs, is one of the premier brands in premium, gourmet burgers. It gives our passengers just another great choice when dining on their way in or out of San Antonio. The variety of burger choices they offer and different combinations of toppings literally means there is something for everyone.”

The 988 sq. ft. restaurant is open seven days from 5:30 a.m. until 30 minutes after the last flight,.
