The new Terminal B at Sacramento International (SMF) is open for business.
The $1.03B terminal modernization project, dubbed The Big Build, includes the new Central Terminal B and Airside Concourse.
The first flights arrived Oct. 5, and the first departures and the official grand opening were the next day. The 740 million sq. ft., 19-gate terminal includes 19,557 sq. ft. of landside concessions and 23,107 sq. ft. of airside concessions; its annual capacity is 16 million passengers.
Concessions have also begun to open, including Vino Volo and several concepts from HMSHost Corp. and its local partners, Esquire Grill and Burgers & Brew, as well as a Starbucks.
