Travelers who shop at HMSHost Corp. concessions also have the chance to donate to Feeding America®.
Shoppers can purchase The Give Love, Get Love bear at HMSHost newsstands and stores such as Simply Books and Authors Bookstores for $15, $4 of which will go directly to Feeding America. The organization says that donation allows it to provide 32 meals for the nation’s hungry.
“We are excited about this first-ever retail program with Feeding America that gives travelers an opportunity to make a difference in so many lives,” says Joan Ryzner, senior vice president of retail at HMSHost. “We are proud of HMSHost’s expanding partnership with Feeding America, as hunger is too often an unseen issue in America, and one that knows no barriers across our culture. Every community in which HMSHost operates, and where our associates live, is affected by hunger in some way.”
Feeding America is a national group that provides 37 million low-income individuals and families with food and meals each year.
“We are glad to partner with HMSHost on the Give Love, Get Love promotion,” says Ian Hunter, director of new partnerships at Feeding America. “Millions of travelers this holiday season will have an opportunity to give a gift that will make its recipient smile, while at the same time represent a much-needed donation to America’s food insecure.”
