BT Fashions has launched Pickzies, which allows customers to build their own watch.
Consumers can choose among five families of watches, each of which comes with its own accessory set. Parts can be mixed and matched within each family.
Trendy’z features silicone straps and bezels with embellishments such as rhinestones. Sporty’z watches have jelly-silicone straps, clear cases and bezels. For those wanting a more unisex look, Swaggy’z have silicone straps. The Smiley’z family includes slap watches that come in a variety of colors and shapes. And Teensy’z have colorful dials and slap-on straps.
“We are very excited about this program,” says Gabriel BoRazzi, president and CEO of BT Fashions . “No brand offers the amount of variability and customization we’re offering through Pickzies. Consumers don’t just get to pick and choose a color. We have a variety of dials, colors and through the five families, completely different designs, all at an incredibly low price.”
Customers buy a dial – the watch’s mechanism, battery and face – for $10. For another $10, they can buy an accessory set, which includes a strap. The Trendy’z and Sporty’z families include matching bezels, and Smiley’z includes a matching dial holder that comes in different shapes.
Each watch is water resistant, can be assembled without tools, and comes with an instruction manual and warrantee.
The watches can be purchased at Miami International (MIA), with more airport locations becoming available in the near future.
“Pickzies lends itself very well to the ‘in between’ activities time of the shoppers in most of our store locations, such as before a flight in the airport,” says Sara Ordoé±ez, sales director for cruises and company-owned stores. “Not only do they purchase a watch, but they enjoy the experience of creatively designing it themselves.”
