MNAA Announces Promotion Of Emily Richard

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) has promoted Emily Richard to the position of assistant vice president, strategic communications and external affairs.

“We are pleased that Emily will play a more pivotal role to ensure that our efforts are strategically aligned and well coordinated to achieve our goals and objectives,” said Rob Wigington, president and CEO of MNAA. “Our people are our best asset, all contributing to creating a great Nashville Airports Experience for our passengers, business partners and employees. Emily’s been an asset to the MNAA in her current departmental director position and this new expanded management role, and the additional responsibilities, are an acknowledgment of her importance to the organization going forward.”

Richard, who joined the airport authority in 2007, previously served as director of corporate communications and government relations.  In her new role, she will report directly to the president and CEO and will be responsible for directing strategic communications, advertising and marketing strategies, and coordinating external relations activities for MNAA. Richard will also lead, support and direct MNAA’s external affairs departments to expand communications, outreach and strategic relations with MNAA team members, community partners and stakeholders, business groups and elected officials and government agencies at all levels.

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority is a self-supporting public corporation that manages, owns and operates Nashville International (BNA).
