ARN Names Elaine Roberts 2012 Director of the Year, Small Airports Category

Airport Revenue News (ARN) is pleased to announce the winner of its prestigious Director of the Year award in the small airports category. ARN defines small airports as less than 4 million total enplanements. For 2012 the winner is Elaine Roberts, president and CEO of Columbus Regional Airport Authority.

The selection of Roberts was the result of an evaluation of several candidates by ARN’s editorial staff in conjunction with ARN’s Advisory Board. She was among a pool of highly qualified candidates based on their excellence in the areas of leadership, innovation, revenue generation, marketing, customer service, community service and proactive efforts to advance the airport industry. The ARN staff and advisory board chose Roberts as the candidate who excelled in all of the aforementioned areas.

“We are pleased to award the honor of Director of the Year to Elaine given all of her notable accomplishments at Columbus International and contributions to the airport industry,” says Pauline Armbrust, founder of Airport Revenue News. “You will read all about her achievements in the upcoming November ARN issue, which will reinforce why she is so deserving of this award.”

“It is an honor to receive this recognition, especially given the many forward-thinking airport executives in our industry,” said Elaine Roberts, A.A.E., president & CEO of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority. “Our greatest strength is the professional and dedicated team in Columbus and I accept this recognition on their behalf.”

Roberts will be interviewed in and featured on the cover of the November 2012 issue.  She will be presented her award at the ARN Awards Show on the final night of the 2013 ARN Revenue Conference & Exhibition at the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas (Feb. 24 – Feb. 26).  For more information on the conference, please go to www.2013conference.airportrevenuenews.com.
