Glynn Confirmed As New CEO Of Massport

Thomas Glynn has been unanimously confirmed by The Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Port Authority to serve as CEO and executive director of Massport.

Glynn is the former COO of Partners HealthCare System. Upon leaving Partners HealthCare in 2010, he worked as an adjunct lecturer at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He has previously served as general manager of the MBTA, as well as Deputy Secretary of Labor for the Clinton Administration and Deputy of Public Welfare in Massachusetts.

“Tom is a terrific choice to lead the Massport team,” said MassDOT Secretary and CEO and Massport Board Chairman Richard A. Davey. “His proven ability to successfully manage complex organizations coupled with his thoughtful and strategic approach to problems and opportunities will ensure Massport continues to be a leading economic engine for the entire Commonwealth.”

Glynn will take over for interim Executive Director David S. Mackey, Massport’s general counsel.

Massport owns and operates Boston Logan International (BOS), public terminals in the Port of Boston, Hanscom Field and Worcester Regional Airport.
