Paradies Wins 7-Year Contract For Retail At DTW

The Paradies Shops has been awarded a seven-year contract to operate new retail concessions at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County (DTW).

The concepts, which will be in the McNamara Terminal, will include regional and national brands. Three concepts will be exclusive to Paradies, and the DTW stores will be their first airport locations: Dylan’s Candy Bar, a candy shop offering chocolate and candy treats by Dylan Lauren; NBC News, a newsstand dedicated to the nightly news program; and Running Fit, which sells athletic apparel and shoes.

Other stores will include CNBC News featuring Tim Horton’s, TODAY, Brighton Collectibles, Brooks Brothers, EA Sports, The New York Times Bookstore, Pandora, PGA TOUR Shop, Spanx, The Body Shop, Brookstone, Soundbalance, and Johnston and Murphy.

“The Paradies Shops is proud to continue its successful tradition at DTW with these exciting new concepts,” says Gregg Paradies, president and CEO of The Paradies Shops. “From Dylan’s Candy Bar to PANDORA, and NBC News to Running Fit, the McNamara traveler will enjoy a true shopping experience, all supported by Paradies’ award-winning customer service.”

Tom Naughton, CEO of the Wayne County Airport Authority, says it is pleased about Paradies’ partnerships with local retails, which will bring Michigan-based brands to the terminal.

“When the McNamara Terminal opened in 2002, it swept industry awards and traveler rankings for unmatched customer satisfaction, so it’s only fitting that The Paradies Shops – one of our original partners at McNamara Terminal that has consistently combined unique concepts with stellar service – will continue to be a strong part of our retail program for the next decade,” he says.
