HMSHost Collecting Donations To Aid Victims Of Hurricane Sandy

HSMHost Corp. is collecting donations to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The late-October storm ravaged the Northeast, leaving billions of dollars of damage in its wake.

“Our thoughts are very much with our employees and customers who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy,” says Sarah Cody, senior director of communications and public relations for HMSHost. “Because we reach so many travelers on their way through airports and motorways across the U.S., we wanted to provide them with an opportunity to help in the hurricane relief efforts, when visiting the retail and restaurant locations at which we operate. The response from our customers thus far has been amazing.”

HMSHost’s retail and dining locations at its 100 airports in North America are collecting donations for the American Red Cross to assist those affected.

Travelers can look for the company’s relief effort digital signs at participating locations, including additional signage at cash registers. Every dollar raised will go the Red Cross’ Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort, and donations are tax deductible.

Donations will be collected throughout the holiday season.
