LS Travel Retail North America has opened its first location at Denver International (DEN): Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs.
The local concept has been catering to Denver residents and visitors for eight years in the Bluebird District. LS Travel Retail opened the DEN location with its local partner, Doc 1 Solutions.
“We are pleased to be opening our very first location in Denver International Airport,” says Gerry Savaria, president and CEO of LS Travel Retail North America. “DIA has been voted Best Airport in North America for seven years in a row by Business Traveler Magazine, an evidence of their team’s constant care for customer service and engagement with the local community. We are glad to have the opportunity to support DIA in both areas, with the help of our local partners, Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs and Doc 1 Solutions.”
The menu features Steve’s New Jersey-imported hot dogs, burgers, and sides such as skin-on french fries, Panko-breaded onion rings, sweet potato tots and deep-fried green beans. The dine-in restaurant also features a bar offering wine and beer, both battled and on tap, in partnership with Colorado native Bull & Bush Pub and Brewery. A grab-and-go component, Steve’s On The Go,” offering ready-made hot dogs, burgers, breakfast sandwiches and wraps.
“Our vision 11 years ago was to bring world-class hot dogs to Colorado,” says Steve Ballas, founder of Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs. “My wife, Linda, and I are thrilled by the impact that we have made in Denver, to travelers and residents alike. We are honored to have been selected to represent Colorado for the first gourmet hot dog concept at DIA, the fifth-busiest airport in the country.”
Kim Day, DEN’s manager of aviation, says: “Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs is a well-known Denver brand that will offer an authentic taste of the city to over 50 million passengers each year who travel through Denver International Airport. This is just one more component of the vibrant mix of local flavors and national brands we are bringing to the airport for our passengers to enjoy.”
