HMSHost Introduces Proprietary Pizza Restaurant PZA

Charlotte Douglas International (CLT) and Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International (YOW) will be among the first to open PZA, a new proprietary restaurant designed by HMSHost Corp.

PZA will serve fresh, hand-made pizzas, balling and stretching the dough in front of guests. Pizza is sold by the slice, and passengers will be able to choose from options such as the Buffalo Pizza Chicken or the Garden State, with roasted local vegetables, ricotta and basil pesto.

In addition to pizza, the restaurant will serve a 6- or 12-inch meatball smasher made with locally sourced ingredients and will offer several breakfast options, such as the pizzetta, which consists of baked egg and bacon smothered in pecorino cheese, or ham and cheese calzones.

“PZA offers travelers a new perspective on some of their all-time favorites,” says Frank Sickelsmith, vice president of restaurant development. “We’re excited to implement these new recipes and have travelers experience some new flavors on their tried and true.”
