A special edition of “The Ocean at the End of the Lane” by Neil Gaiman was put on sale Thursday exclusively at Hudson Booksellers.
The opportunity resulted from the book’s selection in 2013 as Hudson’s Book of the Year by Hudson. The retailer’s edition is identifiable by a burst on the cover calling out its status. It also features a letter from Gaiman in which he notes that throughout 2013, he spent much time traveling and reading from and doing interviews about the book.
“It was exhausting,” he says. “One thing that made me happy, though, was that the book was always there, on the shelves in every Hudson Booksellers, at every airport.”
