San Francisco International (SFO) has launched a Chinese-language website to provide access to frequently used information on subjects such as shopping and dining at the airport and real-time flight tracking.
There also is a guide to Wi-Fi connecting and a social media stream of SFO videos on Youku, a Chinese video-hosting service. It is hosted in the People’s Republic of China, which offers increased delivery speed and load times for visitors in China.
It’s the first dedicated Chinese-language airport website in the U.S., according to airport officials. It can be accessed at www.flysfo.cn.
“SFO’s Chinese language website further connects our city with China [and] strengthens the economic and cultural ties between our two regions, while providing our diverse communities and travelers with an easier way to make our city and SFO their destination of choice,” says San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee.
