Economic Impact At TLH Grows Nearly 5.8 Percent

Tallahassee Regional (TLH) has a total annual economic output of $399 million, according to a study released by the Florida Department of Transportation. That is up 5.76 percent from a previous study completed in 2010.

“Tallahassee Regional Airport is a major economic driver for our community,” says Scott Maddox, the lead city commissioner on airport issues. “Our efforts to improve air service and the facility will only continue this upward economic trend.”

The economic impact is associated with direct impacts that come from tenants and businesses located at the airport, on-airport construction projects and indirect impacts associated with spending from visitors who arrive in the area via commercial and general aviation, according to the report.

TLH is owned and operated by the city of Tallahassee.
