An auction being held this Thursday at Indianapolis International (IND) will feature items ranging from heavy equipment to items left behind from its lost-and-found.
Auction items include an array of tools, machinery and other equipment, much of it aviation-related. Some of those items include work benches, computers, boom lifts, a boring machine, a milling center, pneumatic jacks, forklifts and pickup trucks that the Indianapolis Airport Authority no longer needs but considers still in good shape.
Lost-and-found items include jewelry, comic books, a Louis Vuitton purse and several electronic products, including 24 Kindles and 21 iPads.
The airport holds auctions about every other year. Online bidding will be available. Indianapolis-based Key Auctioneers will conduct the event on behalf of the authority. Photos and an auction inventory can be found online at http://www.keyauctioneers.com/auction-detail/?id=240791.
