Dallas/Fort Worth International on Friday issued a request for proposals for 20 concession packages representing 34 locations. The new opportunities are mostly within International Terminal D, but also include locations in Terminals B and E.
Most packages include just one location. In Terminal D, those include a tea concession, a Mediterranean grill, an upscale Italian restaurant, a wine bar, a Mexican restaurant, a barbeque restaurant, a candy store, a news/convenience store, and a store featuring European designed men’s and women’s apparel.
In Terminal B, the single-location packages include a salty or sweet snack concession and a news/coffee location.
The RFP encompasses several multi-location packages, some of which include concepts in multiple terminals. The multi-location packages in Terminal D only include a package of three bar locations including a signature bar, a floating bar and a high-end bistro; a package encompassing a fresh market deli and deli kiosk; and a package of five duty-free locations.
The multi-terminal packages include a two-location snack concession (Terminals D and E); two locations for consumer electronics (D and E); two spa locations (D and E); a premium branded retail location in D, coupled with a news/convenience location in Terminal B; a two-location sports bar (B and E); and a three-location packaging including news and news/books/cafe in Terminal E and an athletic wear store in Terminal B.
Leases are for seven or 10 years, depending on the concept. DFW is holding a pre-proposal conference Dec. 9. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. CST on March 2.
