The Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority has selected Terry Blue as its new vice president of operations. He succeeds John Greaud, who retired in January after 25 years at the airport.
Blue has more than 18 years of aviation experience. He most recently was deputy airport director at General Mitchell International (MKE), a position he had held since 2008. He also served as interim director as MKE sought a replacement for Barry Bateman, who retired last year.
Blue also was at Denver International (DEN) for eight years, serving as assistant aviation operations manager and aviation operations manager. He is an Accredited Airport Executive by the American Association of Airport Executives and an AAAE Airport Certified Employee in both operations and security, and is past president and current board member of the Wisconsin Airport Management Association.
“I am excited to add Terry to the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority management team,” says Scott Brockman, president and CEO at Memphis International (MEM). “During this process, we interviewed a number of internal and external candidates, each of whom brought a unique combination of experience and qualifications. In the end, the combination of Terry’s breadth of leadership skills, industry experience and personality made him the best candidate for the position.”
Blue joins MEM on April 27.
