PHL, Minute Suites Collaborate On Mothers’ Nursing Station

A strategic partnership between Philadelphia International (PHL) and Minute Suites has brought a highly requested amenity for traveling mothers to the airport.

The parties have collaborated to provide Mothers’ Nursing Station private rooms for breastfeeding and expressing milk.

Nursing mothers can access one of the stations, located within Minute Suites in the corridor that connects Terminals A-East and B beyond the security checkpoint, for free for the first 30 minutes and at a reduced rate of $14 for an additional 30 minutes, if needed.

“Minute Suites enthusiastically embraced the idea of making their private suites available as lactation rooms,” says Mark Gale, CEO at PHL. “We are able to provide an amenity for travelers that matches perfectly with the vision and mission of Minute Suites.”

Daniel Solomon, co-founder and CEO of Minute Suites, hinted that such stations could become available at other airports where the company has space.

“We provide a wellness-based solution to the stress and fatigue caused by air travel,” he says. “That stress and fatigue can be increased for traveling mothers who are looking for privacy. Minute Suites wants to remove the obstacles faced by traveling moms.”
