The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Clear Channel Outdoor Americas and one of its brands, Clear Channel Airports, have launched Be Here for Kids, a national child safety awareness campaign coinciding with National Missing Children’s Day, which is May 25.
The campaign features a series of images and messages aimed at educating people across the U.S. about important issues related to missing and exploited children and directing them to the NCMEC’s safety resources. It aims to remind people they don’t have to wait 24 hours to report a missing child and directs the public to behereforkids.org for more information.
CCOA and CCA have donated space on digital billboards in 28 of their 38 U.S. markets, allowing NCMEC to reach millions of people in cities across the country. The messages are on display at several international airports including !Chicago O’Hare International (ORD), Minneapolis-St. Paul International (MSP), Denver International (DEN), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL) and Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA).
“The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has made tremendous strides over its 31-year history to ensure the safety of our children,” says Toby Sturek, executive vice president of specialty businesses for Clear Channel Outdoor Americas. “Our partnership gives their message great visibility in local communities around the country and in major U.S. airports and will help protect and save the lives of children across the U.S.”
