Sale Of Locally Made Jewelry To Benefit Art Program At STL

Lambert-St. Louis International (STL) has commissioned local artists to create a custom jewelry collection for the airport’s annual Art of Travel event; the fundraiser benefits the Lambert Art and Culture Program, which maintains the airport’s permanent art collection and supports temporary exhibits.

St. Louis artists Lisa Colby, Peg Fetter, Adam Foster and Jenny Walker are creating the jewelry from pieces of copper from STL’s original terminal roof. Pricing for items will begin about $40, with a few exclusive pieces being offered for more than $1,000.

The event also will feature chef tables by HMSHost Corp., signature cocktails, live music by Kim Fuller and Galaxy Band, and a silent auction of travel art experience packages.

This year’s event will be held Oct. 1 in Concourse B of Terminal 1. Tickets are on sale.
