Dame Resigns From GFK, Will Lead RAP

The Grand Forks Regional Airport Authority announced Monday that effective Sept. 11, Patrick Dame has resigned as executive director of Grand Forks International (GFK).

Dame is leaving to take the position of executive director at Rapid City Regional (RAP). He’ll be replacing Cameron Humphres, who resigned earlier this year.

“I have really enjoyed my time in Grand Forks over the past 6½ years,” says Dame. “The airport authority staff and authority board have accomplished so much for your airport, and there is still more to do. Thank you to the community.”

Dame has been at Grand Forks for six years. In that time, he has overseen the completion of a fourth runway, the Byron L. Dorgan terminal construction, a new Aircraft Rescue and Firefighter building and the Stephen M. “Skip” Rucinski Maintenance facility.

“Patrick has done a tremendous job for the airport during his time in Grand Forks,” says Karl Bollingberg, airport authority board chair. “Under his leadership, so much has been accomplished, and the airport is a better place as a result of his leadership. We are excited for Patrick and the new opportunity he has in Rapid City, S.D.”

Mary Jo Crystal will act as interim director until a permanent replacement for Dame is found.
