YHZ Adds Retailers To Kiosk Program

Two local Nova Scotia brands have joined the retail mix at Halifax Stanfield International (YHZ).

East Coast Lifestyle and The 7 Virtues are now part of the airport’s entrepreneurial kiosk program. It’s the first time that either company has operated in an airport.

“Supporting local entrepreneurs is tremendously important to us,” says Ian Arthur, chief commercial officer of the Halifax International Airport Authority. “The addition of our two new tenants builds on the success of our kiosk program here at Halifax Stanfield. Moving forward, we will continue to support local entrepreneurs and have plans to introduce more unique Nova Scotia products to our passengers and visitors.”

The East Coast Lifestyle kiosk is on the Departures Level between Gates 20 and 22; it opened Dec. 1 and will remain for at least three months.

“East Coast Lifestyle was born in Halifax, so we wanted to make it easier for you to bring a piece of home with you wherever you go,” says Alex MacLean, CEO and founder of the company. “Our new airport location will conveniently allow East Coasters to rep their coast with limited-edition apparel, and we’re excited to make it happen in time for the traveling season.”

The 7 Virtues is in the airport’s main lobby and will stay through the holiday season.

“Our whole team is excited to share our Made in Nova Fragrance collection at our holiday pop-up shop,” says Barb Stegemann, CEO of The 7 Virtues. “We’ve been dreaming up new products in our test kitchen that have never been released to our international stores in Fifth Ave NYC or the [European Union]. From moisturizing candles with our natural essential oils that support nations rebuilding after war or strife to our eco-chic lipsticks and lip balms made with organic castor oil supporting women in Haiti, there is something for everyone on your gifts-that-give holiday list. We love that we will be located in the public area of the airport so even if you are not flying away, you can experience our new natural luxe holiday items that support nations rebuilding.”
