Tastes On The Fly Acquires Klein’s Deli At SFO

Tastes on the Fly has added a new concept to its portfolio.

The company has acquired Klein’s Deli, a concept with two locations in San Francisco International’s (SFO) Terminal 3, near Gates 62 and 83.

“Klein’s Deli is a perfect fit for our portfolio,” says Michael Levine, CEO of Tastes on the Fly. “Before coming to the airport, Klein’s Deli was a destination Portrero Hill gathering place known for hearty sandwiches named after famous 20th-century women. When Avery McGinn brought the deli in the airport 22 years ago, the only change was renaming the sandwiches after San Francisco neighborhoods. Like our other restaurants, Klein’s offers travelers a taste of authentic San Francisco.”

Klein’s Deli is the 13th brand to be operated by Tastes on the Fly.

“As a fellow restaurant operator, I have seen Tastes on the Fly’s operations up close and admired them for the quality of brands that they represent and for their gold standard when it comes to customer service,” says Avery McGinn on why she chose Tastes on the Fly. “I was confident they would maintain Klein’s legacy of great deli food and friendly neighborhood feeling. The match just felt right.”
