“As SSP continues to invest in our operations at Toronto Pearson, we also continue to work hard to develop innovative brand partnerships that bring passengers the best dining concepts of the North American region,” says Michael Svagdis, CEO of SSP Canada. “We’re delighted with our new brand partnership with Wahlburgers and delighted to offer their exceptional food to the passengers of Terminal 1.”

Owner and chef Paul Wahlburg, whose two brothers Mark and Donnie are also co-owners, created the concept. Chef Wahlburg has more than 30 years of culinary experience in restaurants within the Boston area. He first opened Wahlburgers streetside in 2011.

“Toronto is an incredible city with an authentic, diverse food culture,” says Wahlburg. “We’re delighted to be opening our second restaurant in Toronto and to be welcoming the passengers of Toronto Pearson to Wahlburgers.”

The menu includes freshly ground beef burgers, various salads, tater tots and macaroni salad made in house. The location is around 2,700 square feet in size.

“At Toronto Pearson, we are surpassing our passengers’ expectations with unique dining experiences that you would not expect from an airport,” says Mike Ross, director of commercial development for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority. “Wahlburgers is a very welcome addition to our program. They feature a unique menu and high-quality food for our passengers in a fun and friendly environment.”
