The Grab mobile app continues to expand its reach as it enters two new airports this week.
Launching with its partner Delaware North, Grab will now have a presence in Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County (DTW) and Boise (BOI).
“Grab aims to eliminate some of the stressors associated with air travel today,” says Mark Bergsrud, CEO of Grab. “Passengers no longer have to wait in lines for food or run blindly through unfamiliar terminals for fear of missing a flight. We are improving the airport experience by empowering passengers with the resources they need wherever they travel in our network.”
Both airports will have concessions locations where travelers can order and pay ahead. Participating restaurants at DTW include two Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf locations, Hockeytown Cafe, Le Petit Bistro, Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, TGI Friday’s, Thee Irish/Guinness Pub and two Coffee Beanery locations. At BOI, 13th Street Pub, Parilla Bar and Grill, Bardenay, River City Coffee, Cross Grain, Einstein Bros., Harvest & Grounds and Smashburger will have that service enabled.
“With the summer travel season ramping up, now is the perfect time to launch Grab in our restaurants at Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Boise Airport,” says Kevin Kelly, president of Delaware North’s travel hospitality business. “Our focus is to make air travel stress-free and delicious. Grab’s mobile-ordering service allows us to deliver both, providing passengers with a memorable travel experience.”
Grab is available on Android and iOS devices.
