LCPA Gets $13.6 Million For Page Field

The Lee County Port Authority received a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation for Page Field (FMY). The grant is for $13.6 million and is part of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program.

The grant will help with the rehabilitation of FMY’s primary-use Runway 05/23 and associated taxiways. It will be used to pay for enhancements to the airfield’s lighting, drainage and signage; improvements to the structural integrity of the runway and taxiways; and additional safety upgrades.

“Airports rely on grant dollars to provide needed infrastructure and improvements,” says Robert M. Ball, executive director of the LCPA. “LCPA worked diligently with the FAA Orlando Airports District Office to secure funding for this crucial rehabilitation of the runway and enhance safety at Page Field.”
