The Board of Aéroports de Montréal has appointed Philippe Rainville as president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2017. Rainville will replace James Cherry, who will retire on Dec. 31 after 15 years at the helm of the corporation.
Rainville is currently vice president of planning, engineering and construction, a position he has held since 2014. He has been with Aéroports de Montréal since 2008. ADM is the airport authority responsible for the management, operation and development of Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International (YUL) and Montréal–Mirabel International (YMX).
“Philippe’s thirty years of experience, especially the last eight years with ADM, is extremely relevant and has prepared him well to become CEO,” said Normand Legault, chair of the Board of Aéroports de Montréal. “I’m confident that Philippe is the right person to lead ADM through the next phase of its development,” he added.
