CLT Terminal Renovations Underway

Charlotte Douglas International (CLT) has begun renovations to its terminal, the fifth segment of its overall $2.5 billion Destination CLT capacity enhancement program. The terminal building renovations are expected to cost $70 million.

The remodel will consist of new ceiling tiles, carpet in the seating areas, wall panels, upgraded seating with integrated power and USB ports as well as fresh coats of paint. The restrooms on Concourses A, B, C and D will be renovated. Terrazzo flooring will be placed in the center walkway of the concourses. HVAC, electrical, fire alarm and sprinkler systems will also be upgraded.

Concourse B is the first terminal section to undergo remodeling. That project is expected to be completed in 14 months. Renovations in Concourses A and E are scheduled to being next summer, followed by work on Concourses C and D in the early part of 2019.

The overall Destination CLT capital project encompasses work on an elevated roadway and terminal curb front and expansions to Concourses A and E, among other projects.
