Clear Channel Airports has signed a new 10-year contract with the Port of Seattle to provide the media program at Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA).
“Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is one of our most exciting partnerships because the Puget Sound region truly represents innovation, cutting-edge technology and rapid growth,” said Morten Gotterup, president of Clear Channel Airports. “Sea-Tac’s surge to a top-10 airport in the nation is a testament to the area’s economic strength and prospects, offering advertisers the rare opportunity to reach a growing and an increasingly affluent set of residents and business travelers each day.”
The contract went into effect on Aug. 1, and the new advertising program will launch in 2018. The program will include three digital networks formatted and positioned throughout the terminal, including ceiling-suspended LED high-definition video walls, a vertical concourse digital LCD network and a baggage claim digital LCD network. Interior assets, such as ceiling-mounted banners, LED illuminated and non-illuminated fabric displays, eye-level illuminated signage and exhibit spaces for specialty displays, will provide visibility and impact, with the goal of increasing dwell time. Finally, Clear Channel will provide marquee exterior assets, including pedestrian walk-over glass clings, roadway-facing exterior banners and pedestrian breezeway banners.
“The Port of Seattle strives to provide a world-class experience at Sea-Tac Airport for our travelers as the gateway to this region,” said Lance Lyttle, managing director of SEA. “Creating a consistent look and feel within the media program provides us the opportunity to incorporate our local Northwest sense of place with national and international brands that will ring true for locals and be a welcoming sight for visitors. Both will come to realize there’s even more to enjoy in our region than they might initially realize.”
