New Scholarships For AAAE’s Women In Aviation Scholarship Program

The American Association of Airport Executives has doubled the number of awards for its Women in Aviation Scholarship program. AAAE has created two new permanently endowed scholarships, honoring Gina Adams, the corporate vice president of government affairs at FedEx, and Trish Gilbert, the executive vice president at the National Air Traffic Controllers Association.

Each of these new scholarships will provide a $5,000 annual award to help a qualifying female student attend an accredited aviation program. These scholarships are in addition to the existing Women in Aviation Scholarship and the Linda Hall Daschle Women in Aviation Scholarship, both already awarded by the AAAE Foundation.

“AAAE is extremely proud to expand our role in helping dedicated women meet their educational and career goals,” says Todd Hauptli, president and CEO of AAAE. “Trish and Gina have made immeasurable contributions to the aviation industry, and I’m excited to see these endowed scholarships, made possible through the generous support of AAAE and our many industry partners, help the next generation of women leaders build on their legacies.”

Additional information about the scholarships offered by the Women in Aviation Scholarship program is available on the program’s website. Eligibility is unrelated to membership in AAAE.
