Voodoo Brewing Co., a local Pittsburgh brewery, has partnered with Fraport USA to open a 225 square-foot pop-up pub in Concourse C of Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). Other local breweries, including Local Craft Kitchen + Bar and Penn Brewery, have also opened pubs in PIT this year.
“We’re excited to bring our premium brews to the airport,” says Jake Voelker, principal owner of Voodoo Brewing Co. “Our ‘pop up’ pub at PIT gives us an opportunity to introduce more people to Voodoo Brewing. We want to continue to spread the love of craft beer and reach a wider audience.”
Voodoo Brewing Co. offers twelve beers on draft and a collection of year-round and seasonal brews, including Voodoo Love Child, Wynona’s Big Brown Ale, Good Vibes and White Magick of the Sun. The pop up will also offer food, including its Chips and Beelzebub Salsa.
The pub is designed to have an open-air feel, and USB plugins are available for patrons to recharge devices.
“We’re thrilled to bring Voodoo Brewing Co. to the airport,” says Ben Zandi, president and CEO of Fraport USA. “We’re always on the lookout for innovative concepts that showcase our region. Voodoo is no exception. This regional brewer is on the global stage in the craft beer movement.”
