SFO Issues Concessions RFPs

The San Francisco Airport Commission has released a Request for Proposals for two Boarding Area C retail concessions leases. The leases will be for a retail marketplace at just under 2,000 square feet and a 510-square-foot newsstand.

Both leases will span seven years with two optional one-year extensions. The minimum bid for the retail marketplace is rent of $1.15 million annually, while the newsstand has a minimum rent of $535,000 annually.

Bids for the two retail concessions opportunities are due October 10. A pre-bid conference will be held July 12 at 10 a.m. at SFO.

The retail RFP joins three other recently released concessions opportunities at SFO. The first is for a Terminal 3 coffee and quick-serve concession, comprising two locations totaling 1,991 square feet. That lease has a term of eight years with two one-year options to extend.

Another RFP is for a sunglass or cosmetics store lease in Terminal 2. The single location measures 723 square feet. The lease will be for seven years. A third RFP is seeking bidders on a single space in the airport’s Terminal 3 pop-up retail program. The program is intended to allow small retailers to experience tenancy at the airport by operating their concepts on a short-term basis in one of two locations constructed by the airport.
